About Us:

Cub Scout Pack 659 has been building fun, lasting friendships and lifelong skills in Escondido since 1972.  We are chartered by Citracado Dental Group in Escondido, and proud to be one of the largest and most active packs in the Palomar District!

We welcome boys and girls in grades K–5 from the Escondido area to join Cub Scouts! We have active Scouts from Bernardo, LR Green, San Pasqual Union, Reidy Creek, North Broadway, Heritage Charter, Grace Christian, Felicita, Central, Juniper, Miller, Classical Academy, Quantum Academy, and more!  No matter where your child goes to school, they’re invited to join the fun.

What We Do:

We offer adventures for the whole family! From local favorites like the Escondido Jaycees Christmas Parade, Veteran's Day parade, and Pinewood Derby, to unforgettable overnight events like sleeping on the USS Midway, or camping on the baseball field at the Lake Elsinore Storm game!  We keep kids moving, learning, and making memories.

Our pack participates in two tent camping weekend trips a year, packed with games, outdoor activities, and evening campfires. We focus on learning basic nature knowledge, simple campsite setup, environmental care, and emergency preparedness through fun, hands-on group activities.

Giving Back:

Our Scouts make a difference in the community by helping others through service projects, food and clothing drives, trash cleanups, and by placing flags in honor of our Veterans on Memorial Day.

When We Meet:

• Our Pack year follows the EUSD school year.  Our program starts in August and continues through June with an optional week long summer camp. 

• Pack Meetings (also known as Pack Show): 1 meeting per month, Monday evening 6:15pm at Emmanuel Faith Community Church.  Please feel free to contact our Cubmaster Andrew Swingle at cubmasterpack659@gmail.com for a meeting schedule!

• Den Meetings: 1–2 meetings per month (scheduled by your Den)
